Rate-Cut Tailwinds

RBA’s cash rate was cut to 3.60% in August 2025, down from 3.85% in May. This 0.25% drop could save homeowners around $210 per month on a typical $1mn loan, easing pressure as the RBA continues to support the economy amid slower growth and easing inflation.

All Capitals Back in Growth

Every capital city logged price gains in July, delivering the sixth straight month of national growth (+0.6%). Darwin led (+2.2%), followed by Perth (+0.9%).

Finance Tip

With fixed rates from major lenders now starting with a "4", review any mortgage still above 5.5%. A 0.50% difference on a $600k loan equals $3,684 in annual interest.
